The Coach House Clydach was our first call were we attend the christening party of Kelsey Mae, a beautiful little girl just a few months old. It was a well attended event and the parents asked us to attend to take shots of the friends and family on this memorable occasion so that everyone would have something to remember the day. As usual at events we set up our mini studio and printed 9” x 6” prints on the day so everybody could take away a lovely memento of the day.
Another event which we love doing each year is the Golf & Archery Tournament at the Grove Golf Club organised by Joanne Popham for the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer. We’ve been their preferred photographer for their events now for 2 years! (We also covered the half marathon last weekend, so we’ll get some photos up from this too!)
At the end of September we photographed the Pre-wedding shoot of Lowrie & Barry who were getting married at the beginning of October at St Mary’s Church in Pontyates. We did the shoot at Paxton Tower , it was a dry day but quite blustery . It was a beautiful location with the Paxton Tower and the amazing views over carmarthenshire. On the big day, although the weather wasn’t great we managed to get to the tower for the post ceremony shot – luckily Lowrie was equipped with her pink umbrella and pink wellies! (images to follow)
We’ve had some lovely weather this year, a lot earlier than expected especially at Sian & Greg’s wedding in March this year (2011).
The sun was out all day, a little bit windy but still, a beautiful day and so was the pre wedding shoot too just 4 weeks prior.
Greg hadn’t been to Neath Abbey before the pre-wedding shoot and was a little nervous, like most grooms about having their photos taken. Having the pre-wedding shoot got rid of any nerves as we spent the afternoon getting to know Greg and Sian and what they wanted out of their day. Therefore not having to worry about it on their big day!
The day of the wedding saw Joanne and I starting off at Sian’s mums house in Morriston where we were greeted by an organised bride, her parents and four bridesmaids!
All going to plan, we left for the Glyn Clydach Hotel for the ceremony and reception. No problems, just a request from Sian to have this photo taken, apparently it’s a family joke as the car belonged to Sian’s Dad’s friend!
Greg was a little nervous but his ushers kept him calm!
After the ceremony we headed to Neath Abbey for the photo shoot and took some lovely pictures of the newly wed couple.
Back to the Glyn Clydach Hotel for the reception and evening party where Sian and Greg took to the dance floor like experts. We weren’t aware of any pre-wedding dance lessons but they certainly looked liked they had!
A very organised and enjoyable wedding and we’re looking forward to seeing Sian soon to collect the albums!
For all our Wedding clients we offer a Free pre wedding shoot, this gives our clients a chance to see how Joanne and i work, but more importantly we also have a chance to see how they are in front of the camera and a good chance to get to know each other a little better.
For you as clients its much better know your photographers then to have met them a year or 2 ago when you made the booking. then not seeing them till your wedding day.
Steve & Jess @ Craig Y Nos Castle
Steve & Jess are getting married at Craig Y Nos Castle in December, We had the pleasure of spending sometime with them in the grounds of the castle in the pouring rain yesterday Nov 22, we spent some time in the park area taking photographs while they had fun in the rain before we all had a hot tea/coffee and a bite to eat at the park cafe which was most welcome by us all and recommended when you visit.
