RSPCA Dog Show – Sunday 24th July 2011

At Jenkin’s Photography we don’t do JUST weddings, we cover a whole range of photography but one of our favourite annual events is the RSPCA Llys Nini Dog Show in Penllegaer!

We spent the day walking around the show, taking snaps of the dogs (and their owners).   Not the usual dog portraits that we do but it has its advantages as all the dogs were on leads – but on the other hand the show had plenty of distractions which made it all the more interesting!

For every photo we printed on the day (and afterwards on our website) we donated 10% back to the charity.  Many dog owners proudly went away with the photos of their dogs as we were able to print out on the day as we took our full equipped Event trailer along and of course our trusted wireless chip and pin machine!  We’d be lost without it!

One character that brightens up any event is local boy & radio presenter, Kev Johns!  And what a hero he is…. he managed to pack 3 charity events into the day!  Starting off with the Race for Life, then the Dog Show followed by another charity event at TwoCann Cafe in SA1!  The last time we’d spoken with Kev was on the bus at the Swans Promotion Parade!

The dog show raised over £5k on the day – the most they’ve raised at the Dog Show!  And is seems to be getting bigger each year and no wonder as it is a great day out for the family.

Jessica and Paul’s Wedding – Mumbles (July 2011)

Our first wedding in July saw us heading down to Mumbles for Jessica & Paul’s wedding.  A little different from our usual weddings as the reception was to be held at the grounds of  Jessica’s parents in a marquee.

As Jessica and Paul requested that all of the post ceremony photos were to be taken in the grounds surrounding the marquee we visited the week before to do the pre-wedding shoot as we were unsure of how much space we would have and the backdrops etc.  It was a beautiful garden with plenty of choice of scenery!  We also had the pleasure of photographing their son Max too!  Such a lovely little character!

The day of the wedding started at St. Marys Church in Kittle, Pennard where it was quite windy but luckily it was a nice day as it remained dry back at Jessica’s parents house in Mumbles.

Jessica had made a big effort to decorate the marquee herself and also made the cake and table decorations too! And she managed to do all of this whilst studying for her degree in pharmacy plus taking care of Max too!

It was a lovely day.  We’d also like to say a big Thank You to Jessica’s dad who gave us a bottle of champagne before leaving!

Jessica and Paul opted for our CD only option – we ensured that the couple had a good selection of photos including a selection of  black & white plus some spot colouring to bring the colours of the flowers out too!

Angharad and Simon’s Wedding at Manor Park House, Swansea (June 2011)

After a fairly quiet month of June, we finished it off with Angharad and Simon’s wedding at Manor Park House in Clydach, Swansea on Friday 24th June 2011.

We’d met up with Angharad and Simon about a month before for the pre-wedding shoot at Neath Abbey.  We quite like this venue for photography as the stonework is great to shoot and has a range of backdrops.

The big day saw us starting off at Birchgrove at Angharad’s parents for the bridal preparation with her 5 bridesmaids.

The ceremony was originally due to take place at St. Josephs Cathedral however as Father Flock had moved to the St. David’s Catholic Church is Swansea City Centre so did the ceremony!

Just as the ceremony was finishing the rain started to pour down as we headed to Neath Abbey!  As always we never leave the studio without our white umbrellas as we can never predict the weather.  It certainly didn’t spoil the wedding shoot!  We managed to take some great photos and also stay dry!

The rain eased off as we headed to the Manor Park Country House, so we were able to take a few more shots!

We stayed on for the evening reception where we captured the Best Man popping the large balloon full of confetti over the newly weds!  It was over in seconds but we managed to get 15 action shots!

Jenna and Jamie’s Wedding at Jabajak Vineyard, Carmarthenshire (June 2011)

Its always nice to go to a new venue to shoot some newly married couples and June certainly saw a great new venue for us at Jabajak Vineyard in Carmarthenshire, just North of Whitland.  Jabajak is a Five star a-la-carte restaurant with a selection of rooms and suites, and of course the beautiful vineyard.  A venue the couple chose as they wanted something a little bit different and they fell in love with it!  We can certainly see why!

In order for us to prepare for the big day at the new venue and to become more familiar with Jenna and Jamie we visited a few weeks before to do the pre-wedding shoot.  The couple were naturals in front of the camera and we had a great time.

The big day arrived, a few black clouds in the sky but luckily no rain.  Even though the sky was grey, the colour from the sunflowers really helped brighten everything up!

The ceremony was lovely!  An emotional day for everyone.

After the ceremony we ventured out to the Vineyard where we took shots between the vines.  Even though they hadn’t started to produce the fruit, the colours were still beautiful.

We took a walk further down where we captured the Carmarthenshire Valleys in the background.

Word on the ‘grapevine’ is that Jenna and Jamie have been entered into the Country Wedding Magazine Wedding of the Year competition.  We wish them Good Luck for the competition and their future together!

This week at Jenkins Photography, Swansea…

We’ve had an enjoyable couple of weeks at Jenkins Photography.  Last weekend saw us do a pre-wedding shoot at Penderyn.  The couple asked us to attend their wedding rehearsal to take the photos, which saw me having take the role of Best Man (as he was running late) and we even had to use mine and Joanne’s wedding ring!  All in the name of going the extra mile at Jenkins Photography!

Last Thursday saw us revisiting The Family Fund in Blackwood near Cwmbran.  The Family Fun is a project which supplies grants to families with disabled children and supply them with essential items for the home.  Our role was to snap the families with their new items.  It was a pleasure to take the photos as you could see these items made a real difference to the families.

And last week saw us place an order for a slate image for a couple who we photographed a few months ago.  We’re looking forward to getting this delivered as its slightly different from the norm – we know the couple are excited about it too!

Catrin and Gavin’s Wedding at Aberglasney Gardens & Llandelio (June 2011)

June saw us returning to one of our favourite locations, Aberglasney Gardens in Carmarthenshire for Catrin and Gavin’s wedding.  We love taking wedding photographs here as the inside of the house and gardens has the best natural lighting and lots of brickwork which looks great in the photos.

Our first stop was the pre-wedding shoot about 3 weeks prior to the big day to get Catrin and Gavin comfortable in front of the camera.  We took some great photos (even if we do say so our sleves!).  Catrin and Gavin had no problems with having their photos taken and made the shoot quite fun!  Certainly a theme for the rest of the wedding!

On the morning of the wedding we had thunder showers and heavy downfalls.  The weather report said that it would stop by midday and it certainly did, on the way to the ceremony!  It didn’t get Catrin down, she seemed to be having a great time with her bridesmaids.

After the ceremony we headed to Aberglasney Gardens.  The beauty about this place is that no matter what the weather you can still get some great shots! With a little bit of rain here and there we managed to get some more great shots and before we knew it, the sun was back out shining!

The reception took place in the Plough Inn, a boutique hotel in Llandelio. It was the normal proceedings for a wedding reception, that was until the Groom got up to do his speech!  A little different from the norm, he went behind the curtains and reappeared with his trousers in his hands!  This was the gift for his new wife – as apparently, she wears the trousers.  He continued to do his speech in his bright pink boxer shorts!  (Luckily he put them back on – well, after 1 hour!)

We stayed to take more pictures of the guests and requested that they signed the mount with a photo from their pre-wedding shoot!  This always goes down well with the wedding couple!

And to finish we were asked to take a picture of the couple with the band – we’re still not sure if Gavin can actually play the guitar!

We had a great day at the wedding!  Lots of fun and laughter had by all!

Philippa and Gareth’s Wedding at Brecon Castle Hotel (June 2011)

After a quiet month for weddings in May, we started off the month of June returning to the Brecon Castle Hotel and was potentially going to be our first wedding with a member of the Royal family!

Prince Charles had been invited to the wedding of Philippa and Gareth as we are told he visits St. Michael’s church, Myddfai regularly.   Unfortunately Prince Charles RSVP’d informing them he couldn’t attend and wished them all the best for their future.  I’m sure we’ll get to photograph members of the royal family soon!

It was just one week prior we were at the Brecon Castle Hotel photographing a different wedding.  This time saw us photographing Philippa and Gareth’s wedding!  Luckily for the couple the weather was blue skies and white clouds on their big day!

Around 3-4 weeks earlier we met Philippa and Gareth at St Michael’s church where we took the photos at the pre-wedding shoot.  We managed to get some beautiful shots down in the forest as were able to make the most of the natural light.

The couple got married at St. Michael’s church, approx 20 miles from the hotel.  It was a lovely wedding ceremony – with a saxophone and flute playing!

After the ceremony all guests had a group photo in the village square before heading to the new Village Hall and were entertained with Tea, Coffee and welsh cakes while Joanne and I took some shots of the newly weds. I managed to sneak a few welsh cakes for the journey!

On our way back to the hotel the clouds were getting blacker and couldn’t even see the Brecon Beacons and it began to rain.  Luckily the sun came back out after food so we heading back outside for some more shots.

The first dance was great, the couple had obviously had dance classes.  Joanne described it as ‘Elegant and Romantic like out of The King and I’!

Philippa and Gareth asked us to stay for food so we had a quick wash and change in our hotel room (we’d stayed the night before too – perks of the job!) and headed back down to the evening party!

It was a really enjoyable day for all and we look forward to seeing Philippa and Gareth again to collect their album!

Bethan and Gareth’s Wedding at Brecon Castle Hotel (May 2011)

With April being a hectic month for weddings we had just the one wedding in May with a few school proms!

At the end of May we had the pleasure of photographing Bethan and Gareth’s wedding at Brecon Castle Hotel.

Prior to their big day we did the usual pre-wedding shoot on a fairly sunny day down at the hotel and around the grounds.  We were lucky to be able to get some shots by the waterfall but unfortunately as it rained the day before their wedding day we  weren’t able to make it down to the river.  A real shame as the photos we took at the pre-wedding were stunning!

Even though it had been raining the day before the wedding day it managed to stay dry for the day, although a little bit cloudy!  We just about managed to get the Brecon Beacons in the background of a few pics!

It was great to be back with Gareth’s family as we’d photographed his Step Brother’s wedding a couple of years ago.  Always nice to catch up with our customers!

Rachel and Richard’s Wedding (April 2011) – Cowbridge

April certainly was a busy month for us, packing in 9 weddings!  Saturday 30th April saw our last wedding of the month with Rachel & Richard in the beautiful town of Cowbridge.  And what a great wedding to end the month too!

The pre-wedding shoot took place 6 weeks prior to the wedding in the Physic Gardens in Cowbridge which was really quite nice!  The weather was cool and the sun was out!  Rachel and Richard were lots of fun to shoot as they were comfortable in front of the camera.  Never a dull moment and always laughing – which makes taking photos so much easier!

The big day began with the Bridal Prep in Rachel’s parents house in St.Mellons Cardiff.  It was nice to be greeted by familiar faces as we’d done Rachel’s brother’s wedding a couple of years ago.  A nice and calm prep as we all had a cuppa and a chat!  All relaxed, well until the wedding dress went on – the nerves started to show a little but still relatively calm!

The couple got married in a huge church in Butetown, Cardiff ( St. Mary’s church) – it was so big it was more like a cathedral!  As we were allowed to take pictures during the ceremony both Joanne and I had our cameras and were at different parts of the church to capture the precious moments, both at the front of the church and on the way out too!

It was a beautiful ceremony – and not a dry eye in the house!

After the ceremony the guests were dropped back to the Bear Hotel, Cowbridge,  however the newly weds, Joanne and I took a short walk back to the Physic Garden where we’d been for the pre-wedding shoot!

It was lovely and sunny! And we managed to take even more great natural photos of the happy couple!

Back at the Bear Hotel, the wedding party sat down for food around 2.30pm which was followed by an Italian Cake.  A cake Rachel had seen at wedding when she was younger and was baked by an Italian Baker – it had an unusual taste but was delicious!

Once the room was turned around there was yet another cake and a hog roast for the evening!  This time the cake was made by Rachel’s grandmother – we couldn’t make our mind up which one was our favourite!

Rachel & Richard had requested our company for the evening party – we had a great evening with some fantastic company.  A long day as we didn’t get back to Swansea till around 11.30pm but a brilliant day!

Martin and Kayleigh’s Wedding (April 2011) – Gower Golf Club, Swansea

With April coming to a close, we attended our 8th wedding on Friday 29th April at Gower Golf Club, Swansea for Martin & Kayleigh.

Prior to the big day we did the pre-wedding shoot – and for the first time in April as the weather wasn’t great we took the photographs at our studio in Pontardulais.

On the important day, the weather was better than it had been at the pre-wedding shoot – a little bit windy but the sun was shining though!  The big day started off at Kayleigh’s parents house in Swansea where there was lots of bridal prep going on – Make up artisit – bridesmaids – flower girls and generally a full house!  All worth it as Kayleigh looked stunning!

It was great when we arrived at the Golf Club as we were greeted by a few familiar faces as we’d photographed Martin’s brothers wedding back in May 2010.

Martin looked confident in his RAF uniform!

After the ceremony we headed out onto the golf course for some pictures of the married couple!  Martin enjoyed his ride around the course on the golf buggy – a specific request from Martin as he is a keen golfer – even managed a round of golf before the wedding!

Plus a few shots around the lake to pick up their reflections – a great affect!

It was a lovely day and great to be in familiar company too!

This week at Jenkins Photography Swansea…

After a lovely 4 day break last week, we got straight back into the swing of things!

Before we could even say ‘cheese’ we were back at the Marriott Hotel, Swansea photographing the Macmillan event!  Quite an interesting one as their theme was Cowboys and Indians!

Followed by a wedding at Norton House, Mumbles and the RSPCA Dog Show on Sunday.  We love doing the dog show every year as it’s always fun – especially when Kev Johns is hosting it!  Sally did a great job organising the event too!

The fun just doesn’t stop at Jenkins Photography as this evening we have been doing a pre-wedding shoot for a wedding taking place this coming Saturday in Penderyn!  (Yes, the place where they make the Whiskey!)    It was a new venue for us, which is always interesting and another location to add to the hundreds we’ve already done!

And Sunday will see us photographing Nicola and Chris pre-wedding shoot ready for their August  wedding in Scotland!  A trip we just couldn’t say no to!

We’re hoping that you’re enjoying the blogs about the weddings we’ve been doing? We’ll be mixing it up with some other photography we do from next week!

And a final note – we’ve been taking bookings for Christmas this week!!  Yes, its just around the corner!

Leah and Philip’s Wedding (April 2011) – St Davids Hotel & Spa Cardiff

April certainly was a busy month for wedding photography for us!  The weekend of the 24th saw us taking a trip to Cardiff Bay to the St Davids Hotel & Spa for Leah & Philip’s wedding.

We’d visited just a few weeks prior for the pre-wedding shoot!  The weather wasn’t great but we still managed to get some great shots over looking the bay!  Leah and Philip were wrapped up nice and warm!

On the big day we arrived at the hotel around lunch time to be greeted by a hotel room full of bridesmaids on the 7th floor having lots of fun!  The bride didn’t seem to be nervous but there was plenty of Champagne and Strawberries about, that might have helped!

Leah looked beautiful with her necklace and brooch from her grandmother…

… and so did the gents with their kilts and thistle button holes!

The wedding saw guests from all over the world – New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland and Australia.

The ceremony took place in the hotel where they had a harpist playing and a toastmaster to keep everything flowing!

After the ceremony we ventured outside to take photos around the hotel including the grass verge!

A few interesting group shots too – a more traditional photo taken from the 1st floor balcony and another outside where they played ‘Where’s Wally?’  – can you spot him?

It was a lovely day with a lot of emotion – a very close family and a beautiful day in all!

Hayley and Adam’s Wedding Photos (April 2011)

April was a busy old month  for us for photographing at weddings– so thankful that the weather was beautiful! Shame we can’t say about the weather over the last few days!

Thursday 21st April was the day we photographed the lovely couple Hayley & Adam Lewis at the Towers Hotel, Llandarcy.

Just a few weeks prior we’d met them to do their pre-wedding shoot at Neath Abbey!  Like alot of our Brides-to-be, Hayley was a little nervous about having her photos taken so we did the best we could to make her feel relaxed!  One of the techniques we used to overcome this is to not look directly into the camera!  We think the photos were fab, especially the ones of Hayley smiling!

When the big day finally arrived, Hayley and Adam had a great day and we did our best to blend into the background – taking natural photos of the bridal prep, ceremony and group photos.  We felt this would be the best way to capture the day – a little different to the more ‘traditional’ formal photos but alot more natural!  This is Joanne’s favourite picture! They just looks so happy and Hayley looks really pretty too!

We revisited Neath Abbey for some photos on the day and captured the VW Campervan – one of Adam’s favourites!  So that makes it 2 VW vans in just 1 month!

An earlier finish that normal as we left around 6ish, just after taking pictures of the cutting of the cake and some more group photos outside!

Hayley & Adam loved their wedding photos – and why not?  We think they did great on the day!  They’ll be picking up their traditional wedding album soon with a brush metal plate on the front!  A popular option!

Delyth and Alex’s Wedding (April 2011)

Every year we attend dozens of traditional white weddings and snap the ten’s of guests at each event, so it’s lovely to attend a few intimate weddings.  Delyth and Alex got married earlier this year at The Cawdor Hotel in Llandeilo with just a few family guests. Such a lovely young couple who’d not long bought their first house! We really enjoyed taking the photos as they’d chosen some great vibrant colours! Alex was disappointed to discover the Audi TT wasn’t a present from his Dad, therefore he had the next best thing by having his photo taken with it instead!!! The couple only planned to have their photos in the small garden to the rear of the hotel and also a few to the front, however, when they arrived the hotel had scaffolding up, therefore Joanne and I suggested that we take a trip down the road to Talley Abbey 7  miles from Llandeilo.  We’d been to this location a few times before and felt the couple would get much better pictures… they certainly agreed once we got there! After taking some beautiful pictures of the couple we headed back to Swansea as the family were having their meal back at the hotel. Photographing at smaller, more intimate events like this allows us to focus on the couple which was an absolute pleasure!

Gemma and Kevin’s Wedding (April 2011)

April proved to be a very sunny month, and this was no exception for Gemma and Kevin’s wedding at Manor Park Hotel, Clydach!

Just a few weeks prior to their big day we did our usual pre-wedding shoot on location at Manor Park where we had a pleasure of meeting Katie, their daughter!  It was important for Gemma & Kevin to make sure Katie was comfortable around Jo and I and by the end of the shoot she certainly was!  She loved the camera!  The couple  were a little nervous about having their pics done to start, but like Katie, at the end they were loving the camera too! (And the camera loved them too!)

On their big day, Jo and I went to their family home were we snapped the bridal preparations!  The bride was a little nervous, but most brides are – absolutely nothing to worry about as everything was going to plan and more importantly on time!

The day ran very smoothly and we took pictures throughout including the ceremony and afterwards around the grounds.

We love taking pictures at Manor Park, especially on the balcony as there is so much natural light.

We stayed until after the speeches as we wanted to get pictures of the guests and make sure the  picture mount was signed by the guests.  This always goes down well with the couple as it’s such a personal memory of their day that can be treasured forever!

Louise and Tom’s Wedding (April 2011)

We always find that each wedding has a special little twist to it and no wedding is the same!

Louise and Tom’s wedding in April this year saw a few special guests in attendance!  In amongst the usual relatives, friends and colleagues was Oscar… the dog and a few of his friends too!

People usually say that you shouldn’t work with Children or Dogs, but Oscar was a lovely dog and proved to be great in front of the camera.  Our pre-wedding shoots are usually just the bride and groom, but on this occasion we were accompanied by Oscar!  But I don’t think Louise and Tom could have left him at home as we discovered that Craig y Nos Country Park is a place they frequent for regular walks or what Joanne and I would call hikes!

On the day of the wedding we started off at Craig y Nos Castle where we met Louise’s mum who was more nervous than the Bride!  It might have been something to do with Louise preferring Jeans to dresses in her day-to-day life… with talk that guests thought she might even turn up in her jeans!  Louise looked lovely in her dress and her mum certainly agreed!

The next surprise of the day was when a  noisy VW Campervan arrived to take Louise to the Church down the road.  Tom had arranged it as a surprise for Louise – she was over the moon!

The Callwen Church where the ceremony took place is a lovely little church allowing the wedding to be very intimate and personal.  And soon discovered that it also has great acoustics when the vicar got his guitar out and began playing a song for the couple to which the whole wedding party joined in with!!!

After the ceremony Joanne and I headed down to the Country Park behind Tom and Louise in the campervan to take some more shots.  Little did we know this would turn into a hike around the Castle and lake – It was interesting trying to keep up with them as they were full speed ahead – luckily Joanne and I had come prepared with sensible footwear!

Louise & Tom are a lovely couple and this was added to when they did a collection at the church where half of the donations were given to the church and the other half to The Dogs Trust – a great cause, close to their hearts!

Susan and Mark’s Wedding (April 2011)

We were blessed with lovely weather in April this year and we had the pleasure of taking photographs at some great weddings.

Our April started off with Susan & Mark‘s late afternoon wedding at Oxwch Bay Hotel where we’d been with them just 5 weeks earlier taking some pre-wedding photographs.

Even though Susan & Mark hadn’t had any professional photography done before, they were both great in front of the camera and seemed to really enjoy it!  It’s always a great relief to see the couples at ease with us as it re-assures them that they don’t need to worry about the photography on their big day and they certainly didn’t!

When their big day arrived we were greeted with possibly one of the most chilled out and relaxed couples we’ve come across in our whole time of taking photos at Weddings!  And considering many of their guests had be frantically calling them to tell them there were problems with the traffic in Swansea, it really didn’t seem to phase them!

Apart from a few guests arriving a little bit late to the ceremony everything went smoothly!

We love taking photographs at Oxwich Bay, the scenery is simply beautiful and the marquee at the hotel was stunning too!  They had done a really good job decorating it!

Susan & Mark had only initially planned to have a CD of their wedding photographs, however they seemed to enjoy it so much they’ve opted to have an album too!

This week at Jenkins Photography Swansea…

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks here a Jenkins Photography Swansea but they say that variety is the spice of life don’t they?!

Enjoyed a lovely day down Mumbles doing some pre-wedding photography with Jessica and Paul for their wedding in a few weeks time… lets hope the weather comes back for them!

Lots of editing pictures for some of the recent weddings we’ve done but the most interesting day has to be our trip to Rhosilli & Oxwich. We’d been asked by a customer to take some landscape photographs of the Gower so she could  then donate them to the Cancer ward in Morriston Hospital. It was such a pleasure to be asked to do this. After spending a great afternoon taking shots we jumped back in the car to head back to Pontardulais only to break down! Luckily we rescued fairly quickly and whisked back!

So our week ahead is a couple of School Proms to photograph at Parc y Scarlets Stadium and Marriott Hotel No weddings this weekend, but maybe that’s a good thing with the weather taking a turn for the worse! Lots more coming up in July and August!

Sian & Greg’s March Wedding

We’ve had some lovely weather this year, a lot earlier than expected especially at Sian & Greg’s wedding in March this year (2011).

The sun was out all day, a little bit windy but still, a beautiful day and so was the pre wedding shoot too just 4 weeks prior.

Greg hadn’t been to Neath Abbey before the pre-wedding shoot and was a little nervous, like most grooms about having their photos taken.  Having the pre-wedding shoot got rid of any nerves as we spent the afternoon getting to know Greg and Sian and what they wanted out of their day.  Therefore not having to worry about it on their big day!

The day of the wedding saw Joanne and I starting off at Sian’s mums house in Morriston where we were greeted by an organised bride, her parents and four bridesmaids!

All going to plan, we left for the Glyn Clydach Hotel for the ceremony and reception.  No problems, just a request from Sian to have this photo taken, apparently it’s a family joke as the car belonged to Sian’s Dad’s friend!

Greg was a little nervous but his ushers kept him calm!

After the ceremony we headed to Neath Abbey for the photo shoot and took some lovely pictures of the newly wed couple.

Back to the Glyn Clydach Hotel for the reception and evening party where Sian and Greg took to the dance floor like experts.  We weren’t aware of any pre-wedding dance lessons but they certainly looked liked they had!

A very organised and enjoyable wedding and we’re looking forward to seeing Sian soon to collect the albums!

Gemma & John’s White Winter Wedding

We attend dozens of weddings each year so we thought we’d start sharing more with you!

Back in December 2010 we attended Gemma & John Francis’ wedding which turned out to be an interesting one.  As you will all remember, we all woke up to Snow on Friday 17th December which sent the whole of the UK into panic!  Well, apart from Bride and Groom Gemma and John who were due to get married the following day in Newton House, Llandeilo.

Expecting a stressed out bride we were simply asked to attend The Cawdor Hotel on the morning of the wedding (instead of the Bride’s mums house) as it was closer to Newton House.

Luckily the snow didn’t affect us too much getting to Llandeilo as the roads were pretty clear and we arrived safely in Llandelio to a quite surprisingly calm atmosphere where we met Gemma”s family and four bridesmaids.

What was lovely about this wedding as that the couple didn’t care about the Honeymoon or even the reception at The Fig Tree (Llandelio) – all that mattered is that they were going to get married on that day!

Staff and groundsmen went out of their way to ensure the paths were clear from the main road for all guests and more importantly the Bride to arrive safely.  The only hitch was the car radiator breaking down so we were greeted by a very cold Bride – but still very calm!

The ceremony went with no problems and then we had our time to take the photos of the couple in the beautiful white snow with blue skies (and deer in the background if you look close enough!).

Taking pictures in the snow can be quite difficult as the white snow can appear to have a blue tint, but we managed to ensure the show showed up in the pictures as stunning as it was in person!

We’d done a pre-wedding shoot with Gemma and John and as per usual, we’d prepared for both sunshine and rain, but had not thought we’d have snow to deal with!  I’m sure you’d agree the scenery is stunning in the snow!

After taking the pictures we headed to The Fig Tree for the reception.  Unfortunately the band had cancelled due to the weather , however this didn’t stop the newly wed couple from enjoying their evening, instead, they were given permission from the owner to play the music from their ipods!

It was lovely to spend the day with Gemma and John and so pleased that they liked their photos and Mario Acerboni album (and the 3 parent albums too!)
